Student Support

We at Lakewood Park are committed to supporting students in whatever way possible.

One of the ways in which we provide support to students is through our DESIGN Learning Center. The DESIGN Learning Center is a resource for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to learn at his or her own pace, acquire new study skill strategies, and progress to grade-level and beyond. The individual attention given by trained instructors builds each student’s confidence and helps him or her achieve academic success in reading, math, and language arts. Students can be pulled out for help during the school day or meet after school. There are also summer sessions. An additional fee is charged to families for DESIGN services. Outside tutoring services are also offered on campus and school day tutoring is also available. Please contact the school for more information.

We have a PreK-12 Interventionist on staff offering Response to Intervention (RTI) Support for teachers. RTI is a process that focuses on identifying the unique behavioral and learning needs of an individual student, in order to provide high-quality education for that student. Our Interventionist also has one-on-one and small group services available for students in need of additional support or intervention. Out utmost goal is to do whatever we can to help our students succeed in every way – one student at a time!
