Behavior Expectations

Taken from the same root word as disciple, discipline is established and maintained at LPCS with the intent to train and improve the character of our students into disciples of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 12 shows that God disciplines his children in love and with love and we are motivated by the same reasons to discipline at Lakewood Park Christian School. Despite their human limitations, our administrators strive to discipline in the context of Christian love and for the benefit of the individual student(s) and the LPCS community at large.

Students are expected to comply with the following general expectations:

  1. Follow the teacher’s directions (or the directions of the teaching assistant).
  2. Listen respectfully to the teacher and other students.
  3. Keep hands, feet and other objects to oneself.
  4. Approach school with a positive attitude and a desire to do one’s best.

Lakewood students and staff represent Lakewood Park Christian Academy wherever they go. Therefore, it is critical that students and staff conduct themselves in a manner consistent with our Christian values twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Therefore, our school administration will not hesitate to assert discipline in cases where a student or staff member’s behavior is inconsistent with our policies, goals and character of this school, regardless of where these activities take place. In severe circumstances, students who have established a lifestyle that is inconsistent with our LPCS behavior standards may be asked to withdraw from the school.
