Honor Society, Advisor Rachel Binkerd
The National Honor’s Society is a group of students who are selected from among the student body for their outstanding demonstrations of leadership, service, character and academic achievement. In January students who have above a 3.3 and who are on schedule for college prep or honors diploma will be given the opportunity to submit their names for consideration. Entries will be due on the 24th of January. Once all entries have been submitted, the Faculty Council will select those who exhibit excellence in the remaining three pillars of NHS-- leadership, service, and character. By the beginning of February all candidates who submitted entries will be informed of whether or not they were selected to be apart of this group. The induction ceremony will take place in April.
Each secondary class has elected officers who lead the class in various areas. Teacher-Advisors give accountability and advice to their groups.
Upperclass students have the opportunity to be trained in discipleship with the intent for them to partner with younger students to encourage, seek Truth from God's Word and pray.
